Women in Development/ Gender and Development Section Women in Development /Gender and Development is among the sections of Caritas Tanzania entrusted to carry out programs aiming at creating gender sensitive environment and address specific needs of women in a holistic manner towards achieving integral and sustainable development. Since its inception, the section has build itself into an effective social and economic programs that build capacity of the dioceses towards gender transformation. The section runs the following programs:- § Gender awareness creation to the church policy makers through training workshops at the Metropolitan levels. § Sharing of information § Capacity building § Elimination of child labour through provision of vocational training skills as an alternative. § HIV/AIDS and Gender
